After cleaning the barn, I went out to the field to hang out with the herd and as I turned the corner of the barn I saw Duke and cracked up!
I walked closer to explore and observe and I got a message almost immediately. “Claim your space, Step into your Truth, You are supported.”
Most of my life I have been reluctant to claim my space. I felt guilt and a sense that if I did I may appear to be asking for attention? Also felt and still feel like I may not have enough credentials to back up my efforts to make a difference. Perhaps I am not good enough? Now I understand; that it is my inner critic that tries to create fear and so I can thank it for trying to “protect me”. Funny though many of my clients feel the same?
As I am working at developing my coaching business, creating my vision and mission I am realizing that there are so many similar services. It is almost discouraging to see all the hype, the fancy displays, and the so-called “certified” life-coaches and therapists claim as guarantees to fix you, heal you, etc.
As authenticity is one of my top values, I consider myself a BS detector now by trial and error and so it is my intention to help people create themselves, create dreams, through a series of broken-down steps and create a plan so they can achieve what they strive for just like I did for myself and that I am still doing.
By my own experience of life and through my own journey, I can relate so some of the feelings, emotions and desires some people have. Hence, by being completely authentic and vulnerable in the services I offer I can coach someone through what I have experienced as well. With studies in Psychology, Fitness and health instructor from YMCA which I practiced for a decade, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Leader experience for more than a decade, a variety of leadership roles in the corporate world for close to 30 years, Equine Guided Learning and Wellness Coach since 2014 and now Life Coach I am feeling confident in stepping into my space. All of this work I did was to help people become good and better themselves.
Yes, I have run into the comments and hearsay of “some” people trying to discredit me to protect their own interest and I say: "the sun shines for everyone".
So, for all of you out there this may resonate with: There is only ONE you. There is no one else like you and there will never ever be anyone else like you. You have a gift to offer that can touch the world in a way that no other person’s gift can do. Every person is significant in their contribution no matter what it is.
When God created us, he had a special purpose for us that only we can fulfill. We were given talents that made us all unique and special so that we can life the purpose we were assigned.
It is time to fulfill your dreams and take advantage of the resources and opportunities that are YOURS. Claim your space, Step into your Truth; Live your purpose. No one else can take that away from you or cause you to lose your place. It is always there waiting, and you must open up yourself to receiving it by following your heart’s desire.
