10 Years on Sacred Ground

When I took this photo last night… my heart swelled.

This land—this breathtaking land—has been my home, my sanctuary, and the birthplace of Balance With Hooves for the past 10 years.

A full decade of sacred moments.

Of hoofbeats echoing wisdom.

Of people arriving heavy… and leaving lighter.

This is ancestral land.

It remembers.

It heals.

It holds.

Over the years, it has welcomed so many beautiful souls—

Residential school survivors, curious schoolchildren, brave women seeking truth, teens in search of meaning, and community members aching for reconnection.

Through full moon drumming, Reiki, retreats, new moon circles, meditations, silent walks, and horse-guided healing sessions—this land has witnessed it all.

And the horses… oh, the horses.

They’ve stood as mirrors, as messengers, as midwives of change.

As I stand here, in awe of this place, I feel both a deep gratitude for all that has been…

and a fiery anticipation for all that is yet to come.

A new chapter is unfolding.

Expansion is calling.

And I will answer.

Like Walt Disney. Like Henry Ford. Like Steve Jobs.

I don’t need anyone’s permission to dream big.

I don’t need validation to believe.

I know what I’ve seen. I know what I feel. I know what I’m building.

Every dream starts with a thought.

Every movement begins in silence.

And here on this sacred land, the next dream is already stirring beneath my feet.
